Letter from the Chair
Dear Friends of ITNMemphis,

We are almost there.
Memphis area seniors urgently need reliable transportation alternatives.

What began two years ago as a shared idea between friends, to bring the ITNAmerica model of independent transportation to Memphis area seniors and the visually impaired, is now almost a reality. It has been a long road to get to this point, but we are excited to report that services should begin as early as April.

Recently, however, we have mourned the loss of our dear friend, Mr. Holden Potter, who served as our first paid executive director from 2011-12. Holden spent his final year passionately supporting the cause of ITNMemphis and successfully brought us into full affiliate status with ITNAmerica

The Holden Potter Founders Circle:
Celebrating a Legacy of Leadership

To celebrate Holden's incredible legacy of leadership and honor his memory and hard work toward the goal of an operational ITNMemphis, we have created the Holden Potter Founders Circle with the support from Holden's wife of 50 years, Jo.

We hope you will consider supporting the effort. Members of the Circle will ensure that Holden's hard work during the final year of his inspiring life of service will continue to be recognized, and the goal that he strived so hard to meet, the launch of the first rides by ITNMemphis in 2013, will indeed be met.

We invite everyone who knew and loved Holden to join in this circle of friends and partners.

Memberships and Volunteers
We are ready to roll - are you?

Along the road toward offering our long-awaited first ride, we have experienced many unexpected obstacles and found many great partners and friends. ITNMemphis was founded by a group of concerned Memphians with support from many generous individuals and forward thinking foundations we have recognized on the right. A special thank you is also in order for our dedicated Board of Directors, both past and present, who have given so freely of their time and resources to bring ITNMemphis into being. I am also happy to welcome Dee Wallace and John Thompson to our 2013 board.

The drive toward our first ride is not completed, however, and we still need your help. As we are completing the search for our new permanent Executive Director and our first Dispatcher, we are continuing to forge ahead with the business at hand to get up and running. We are now accepting applications for volunteer drivers, member riders, and proactive community partners who understand that the independent transportation needs in our city have simply not been met yet.

ITNMemphis is an idea that's time has come. We are ready to move into the next phase and hope you will join us on the ride.

Sincerely,

Dan Murrell
Chairman

Building Community
Helping Seniors

It isn't difficult to know the answer to the senior transportation problem in America: older people need a ride, especially when they limit or stop driving.

The challenge is to provide that ride with all the dignity and independence older people deserve.

That's where ITNMemphis comes in...
